Trekstor is a European company that isn’t very well known in the United States. We reviewed the i.Beat Motion because they seem to specialize in flash MP3 players. Even though it’s the cheapest player in this group, the i.Beat Motion doesn’t really stand up to most of the popular brands here in the U.S.
The screen is the same size as that of an iPod Nano but it has a much lower resolution, so its video capabilities aren’t as good and the picture isn’t as sharp. With a mere 7 hours of audio playback, the battery life is by far the lowest of any of the players we reviewed. Additionally, the tech support is a little more difficult to contact compared to the other brands we reviewed, because it is primarily a European-based brand.
The i.Beat Motion does include some good features, like an FM tuner, voice and radio recording, text document viewing and a sleep timer.
The Trekstor i.Beat Motion may have a good feature set and be the cheapest portable we reviewed, but in the end it is lacking in some very important areas.
