The Zen Nano is a small player available in 10 different colors and with either a 512KB ($55.99) or 1GB ($69.99) memory capacity. This slender player uses an AAA battery and can play up to 18 hours. It is compatible with MP3 and WMA music files and hooks up to PCs by a 2.0 USB connection, but is backwards compatible to USB 1.1 if you have an older system.
The tiny screen on this player cannot display video or images and you can only browse your music by tracks. But it can record voice and it comes with its own software, Creative MediaSource, which can convert file types.
For the low price, this player can cover the basics, but for about the same price tag the Rio Forge has an enhanced music browser.
